The "MUSA" farm is located on the slopes of Etna at about 1050 meters above sea level, in the Bronte area, where various crops of vegetables, nuts, chestnuts, hazelnuts, apples, pears, prickly pears, figs are produced , cherries, berries and, above all, pistachios and olive trees. The primary objective of the "MUSA" farm is to make the beauties of our volcano accessible to everyone, trying to remove any architectural barrier that prevents a full and complete integration of those who are bearers of any form of disability.
The Farm
In our farm, guided tactile routes are being created for the blind and partially sighted, for the disabled thanks to sensorial and olfactory paths that allow everyone to walk and get to know the typical plants of the area, in particular the pistachio with consequent tasting of the product and its derivatives.
Doors open to all
At about 500 meters above sea level, along the Adrano - Bronte road in the Rizzonito district, the production of the DOP pistachio from Bronte takes place, which we transform into our typical products. A part of our pistachio production is sold in shell or shelled; the other part is transformed into pesto, cream, nougat, grains, typical sweets as well as panettone and pistachio doves to finish with pistachio paste to prepare delicious ice creams and granitas.
